3 Tips to Start Enjoying Weight Loss

"Grin and bare it" - isn't that the mantra for those of us wanting to shed the fat? There seems to be a no-pain-no-gain mentality when it comes to losing fat. But does it really have to be this way? After all your not an elite athlete, you just want to fit in your sexy jeans again.

So lets get rid of the drudgery and checkout 3 ways you can get some joy back into losing weight.

#1 Partners In Success

There is something comforting about sharing both success and misery with someone who can truly understand what you are going through. You and I both know that as kind as your size 6 friends may be, they will never understand your struggles like a gal who is planning on dropping 200 lbs.

So this first tip is an often overlooked element in weight loss success, namely, making a pact with another person who is just as committed to losing fat as you are. Or better yet hooking up with someone who is MORE committed than you, so that you can ride their coattails.

Bottom line, use human relationships to your advantage. Find a partner to enjoy your journey along with you. If you cannot think of someone to partner with, then consider placing an ad in Craigslist to find one. Have a tea with a few of the responders see who you get along with.

#2 Your Shoot Date.

Ever wondered how actors can look so sexy on screen all the time? Especially after seeing their candid beach photo on the tabloid cover - you've peeked, admit it!

Those have something that you do not... its called a shoot date. Actors have a time, in the not so distance future, when they are going to be in a bathing suit on a beach with camera and crew scrutinizing their every curve.

Talk about motivating.

So why not make a shoot date for yourself? Enter one of those before and after contest that supplement companies use for their advertising, or schedule a Glamour Shots™ appointment for 3 or 6 months from now. Find something that has both a deadline AND has you wearing something skimpy.

#3 Photo Journal

There are tons of places on the net to join free blogs. Join one today and post your before photo right now! Then invite as many people as you can to join your blog and follow your progress. The more people you have watching you and commenting on your blog, the more likely you are to succeed.
